Run, Cheer, and Skate This Weekend to Support the Empty Stocking Fund

Tags: Empty Stocking Fund

What do the Colorado College Stocking Shuffle, the University of Minnesota, and ice skating have in common? Besides chilly weather and holiday cheer, all three are fun ways for you to support the Empty Stocking Fund this weekend!

  • On Saturday, December 8 from 8:00 to 10:00 am, grab your striped socks and tennis shoes for the annual Stocking Shuffle 5k run/walk on the Colorado College campus. All proceeds go to supporting the Empty Stocking Fund. To learn more, visit the Stocking Shuffle website.
  • After your run, put on your CC Tiger gear and cheer the team to victory as they face off against the University of Minnesota. During the game, purchase a fan “growl towel” to show your support. Or if you are feeling competitive, play “chuck-a-puck,” where 50% of the proceeds from every puck purchased will be donated to ESF.

  • What better way to get in the holiday spirit than skating? Strap on your skates and swing by Acacia Park for an afternoon or evening of skating. A suggested donation of $5 for skate rentals will benefit Empty Stocking Fund.

For more information on these events, check out the Empty Stocking Fund website. Can’t make it to the events, but still want to donate? Text “STOCKING” to 50555.
